Minor Home Modifications

Majority of Paraplegic Centre clients come from poor and rural background and returning home after rehabilitation can be a difficult and challenging exercise for them as sudden withdrawal of all the facilities and services available at PCP leads to confusion, debility and depression. It is difficult for them to maintain the same standards of care required to maintain his or her dignity and independence as their homes are not wheelchair accessible, bathrooms and kitchens are either non-existent or not usable. Financial and technical support is provided in designing and building, or re-innovating, doorways, kitchens, bathrooms or stairways for better wheel chair accessibility.
